Article Title: Sheryl Underwood Returns to Zanies for Comedic Performance November 1 & 2
Article: Sheryl Underwood, comedian, actress and talk show panelist on the daytime CBS show, The Talk, will bring her multi-talents to Zanies on November 1 and 2 at 7:30 pm for two shows.
Since first gaining notoriety as the first female finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989, Underwood’s name has grown over the years. She won the BET "Funniest Female Comedian on Comic View" award in 1994 and the BET Comedy Awards' Platinum Mic Viewers Choice Award in 2005. Following her stand up success, Underwood took a number of minor acting roles including Bad Mouth Bessie in the 1998 film I Got the Hook Up, and Catfish Rita in the 2005 film Beauty Shop.
Underwood is owner and CEO of Pack Rat Productions, Inc. and 23rd International President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.- the only full-time entertainer to ever hold the sorority organization’s highest post. A savvy businesswoman and multi-faceted, multi-media entrepreneur, she skillfully balances the roles of in-demand entertainer, business owner, movie and television actress, radio personality and philanthropist. As one of the world’s brightest contemporary humorists,
Underwood joined the television show The Talk on CBS for the start of season two. She sits alongside hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Aisha Tyler. The Talk, which averages 2.21 million viewers per day, has a strong profile in the daytime viewing line-up on CBS.
By daring not only to think outside the box, but to completely break the mold, Sheryl P. Underwood has become a source of inspiration for woman, across the country and the world, who juggle the many facets of their lives.
