Article Title: Tennessee State Museum Presents the Wessyngton Lecture & Exhibit Tour on March 29
Article: The Tennessee State Museum will present a lecture by author John Baker Jr. about his book, “The Washingtons of Wessyngton Plantation” which is scheduled to take place Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. Baker also served as an advisor to the museum for its recent exhibition, Slave & Slaveholders of Wessyngton Plantation, which takes a poignant look slave and slaveholders who worked and resided at a distinctive plantation in Tennessee. The exhibit is still currently on view until August 31.
  During the lecture and tour series, Baker will talk about his research on the Wessyngton Plantation and his ancestors. He will also address how discovering his heritage has impacted the lives of not only his family but of African Americans interested in learning more about their own cultural heritage. Following his lecture, Baker will answer questions and sign his books. A tour of the exhibition will be conducted by the exhibit curator Rob DeHart.
