| Article: | Tennessee State University will host its first annual Big Blue Tiger 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 5. The event will kick off at 8:00 am with walkers starting at 8:15 am. The course has been certified and will finish in the Legendary William J. Hale Stadium "The Hole." Following the race, the participants are encouraged to tailgate for the annual Blue and White football game and will provide a fun-filled, high-energy race experience that encourages fitness, wellness and health for all race participants. A safe, fun-filled, high-energy race experience, the mission is to promote and maintain a state of optimum health among the student community in support of academic excellence. All proceeds from the Walk/Run will benefit the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association. For more information regarding the upcoming event, call615-963-5000. |
