Article Title: 32nd African Street Festival Returns To Hadley Park September 19-21.
Article: The African Street Festival, one of Nashville’s premier events, will return to historic Hadley Park on September 19. The three-day event celebrating the 32nd annual African Street Festival will feature African culture, music, food, shopping, concerts, children’s events, fashion and art shows that offer something for the entire family.
Sponsored by the African American Cultural Alliance (AACA), the AACA was founded in May of 1983 by several concerned African American community members in Nashville who wanted to promote the positive aspects of African culture. The primary focus of the African American Cultural Alliance is to enhance the awareness of the cultural and historical background of people of African descent, while providing various outlets which will allow demonstration of the culture to others. For years, the organization has been committed to celebrating and connecting the extensions of Africa to America by way of education, arts, business, family and community.
Plan on attending one of the most exciting cultural events of the year. Parking and admission are free. For more information, contact the African American Cultural Alliance at (615) 942-0706 or visit aacanashville.org.
