Article Title: Music City Nashville Presents Celebrate Nashville on October 5
Article: Mark your calendar and bring your family and friends to the Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival on Saturday, October 5 at Centennial Park. In a city where one in six residents is foreign born, this event is one of Nashville’s favorite and most vibrant festivals showcasing its diversity and also a celebration and reminder of what makes Nashville a great place to live.
From traditional cultural dances to Aztec dancers to modern fusion & Blues, the festival will showcase over 60 music and dance performances on 6 different stages. At this year’s event, you can also sample everything from empanadas, falafels, and hot chicken to injer (Ethiopian bread), gyros, and Mexican popsicles all in one place. Some vendors will even be open for breakfast this year. But the event wouldn’t be complete without something for the kids. The Children’s Area offers hands-on activities for the young child that highlight the elements that make up any culture, including its games, arts, sports, homelife, and learning. There will be enriching opportunities for every child, including the very young child and accompanying parents, complete with a nursing station and shady picnic area.
The event is free and provides an opportunity for intercultural dialogue through a Nashville festival experience and features a variety of dance and music performance on 7 different stages, food vendors offering authentic and exotic tastes from around the world, hands-on children’s activities, an area just for teens, a marketplace, and so much more.
