Motown Legend Smokey Robinson Comes to Music City for Two Holiday Performances at Schermerhorn Symphony Center

     The Motown legend Smokey Robinson returns to Music City for two incredible nights of holiday favorites and classic Motown hits such as “Tears of a Clown,” “I Second That Emotion,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Cruisin’,” “Being With You” and many, many more. This festive evening at the Schermerhorn with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Smokey Robinson and your Nashville Symphony is sure to brighten your holiday season with two incredible nights of music on December 10 and 11.

      An American R&B pop singer-songwriter, record producer, and former record executive. Robinson was the founder and front man of the Motownvocal group the Miracle, for which he also served as the group's chief songwriter and producer. Robinson led the group from its 1955 origins as the Five Chimes until 1972 when he announced a retirement from the stage to focus on his role as Motown's vice president.

      A dedicated entertainer, Robinson continues to record new music and maintain a busy tour schedule. In 2009, he released the studio albumTime Flies When You're Having Fun. In 2012, Robinson gave an impressive performance on the television competitionDancing with the Stars. Around the same time, The Miracles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
